Thank you for choosing Casa Thymus!

By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions below.

The person completing the reservation form will remain the main point of contact and is responsible for confirming the reservation details and communicating with our team.

📌 Minimum stay is 2 nights, and 3 nights during certain periods of the year.

🏡 Casa Thymus consists of three comfortable villas, each offering generous areas designed for relaxation:

  • Villa 1: 4 bedrooms located on the upper floor, each with its own private bathroom.
  • Villa 2: 1 apartment located on the upper floor, with its private bathroom, and 2 bedrooms located on the ground floor, sharing one bathroom.

Villa 1 and Villa 2 have exclusive shared access to the heated swimming pool overlooking the hills of Soveja, as well as to the gazebo with barbecue and outdoor dining area. They do not have access to the jacuzzi.

  • Villa 3: 3 bedrooms located on the ground floor, each with its own private bathroom, and 1 bedroom located on the upper floor, with its private bathroom.

Villa 3 has exclusive access to a gazebo with jacuzzi and outdoor dining area. It does not have access to the swimming pool.

Renting all three villas provides access to all facilities.

📍 Casa Thymus is located in the heart of the Vrancea Mountains Nature Reserve and is easily accessible via well-maintained asphalt roads.

📸 Commercial photography and filming are permitted only with our prior approval.

🔒 Casa Thymus reserves the right to refuse reservations under certain circumstances in order to preserve the unique atmosphere of the property.

💳 A 30% deposit of the total accommodation package (with or without meals, depending on your choice) is required to confirm your reservation. The deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.

🛏️ Accommodation Terms

  • Check-in: from 3:30 PM
  • Check-out: by 10:30 AM (unless otherwise agreed)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Maximum Occupancy

  • Villa 1: 8 adults + 4 children
  • Villa 2: 6 adults + 4 children
  • Villa 3: 8 adults + 2 children

🌿 Every offer is personalized. We consider the number of guests, length of stay, selected package (accommodation only or with meals), and the time of year.

Important

  • The confirmed price remains valid even if fewer guests arrive than originally booked.
  • If your group is larger than initially reserved, please notify us at least 3 days in advance so that we can adjust your offer.

⚠️ No other guests (outside of the reserved group) may enter the villas without our prior approval.

📝 The person who made the reservation must complete a guest registration form upon arrival (or beforehand).

🏡 Casa Thymus is designed in a traditional style. We are not responsible if the property's traditional architectural style does not meet individual expectations. We recommend reviewing all available information on www.casa-thymus.ro before booking.

🚭 Smoking is not permitted indoors. You may smoke outside; however, please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground, as this is a sensitive natural area with an increased fire risk during dry periods.

🕯️ Candles are not permitted inside the house for the same safety reasons.

💡 If you use the outdoor gas heaters, please make sure they are switched off after use.

🏚️ The house is built using natural materials. The walls are made of earth, finished with traditional clay plaster and lime. Small cracks are a normal feature of traditional construction and do not affect the building's structural integrity. Sound insulation is limited.

💧 Water and ⚡ electricity are valuable resources for both us and the local community. Please use them responsibly.

🧼 For stays of 4 nights or longer, complimentary cleaning, including fresh bed linen and towel replacement, is provided.

📶 Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. We strive to maintain a stable internet connection; however, occasional interruptions beyond our control may occur. As this service is provided free of charge, no compensation can be offered in case of outages.

🌡️ Please switch off lights and heating/air-conditioning systems when leaving.

Common Areas Terms

At Casa Thymus, we aim to create an atmosphere of relaxation, peace and authentic connection with nature.

🔊 For the comfort of all guests

  • Large speakers, sound systems, or any high-volume music devices are not permitted, either indoors or outdoors.
  • Guests may use only small personal portable speakers at a low volume, provided it does not disturb other guests or neighboring properties.

📌 We reserve the right to ask for any noisy devices to be turned off, regardless of type.

🐾 Pets are welcome on the terraces and outdoor areas, and indoors only with our prior approval.

🔥 The barbecue may be used, but with great care. Never leave a fire unattended!

🎥 For everyone's safety, common areas are under video surveillance (CCTV).

🍽️ Full Board Terms

🥗 The full-board package includes three meals per day and is tailored according to:

  • number of guests (adults/children);
  • length of stay;
  • season.

👧 Children's Meal Rates

  • Children under 4 eat for free;
  • Children aged 4–11 pay 50% of the adult menu;
  • Children aged 12 and above pay full price.

📆 Three days before your arrival, we will send you the final menu proposal. Once the menu and number of guests have been confirmed, no further changes can be made regarding:

  • group size;
  • menu;
  • meals.

🍳 We cook with care, using as many local, seasonal and fresh ingredients as possible. Availability may vary depending on the season (e.g., egg production may fluctuate).

💰 The final amount due includes meals as per the agreed menu. Any beverages or additional expenses will be paid at check-out.

💧 Spring water is served at the table, in carafes.

⚠️ Access to the wine cellar is permitted only when accompanied by a Casa Thymus representative.

⚠️ Freezers and cupboards located on the terrace next to the kitchen are not for guest use.

🏊 Pool Terms

The outdoor swimming pool is available seasonally until early winter, depending on weather conditions.

🌡️ Heating the pool is possible depending on outdoor (especially night-time) temperatures. We aim to keep the pool open as long as possible, but warm water availability depends on weather.

⚠️ The swimming pool is used entirely at your own risk. There is no lifeguard.

❌ The following are not permitted in the pool:

  • diving;
  • pushing or rough play;
  • food or drinks;
  • glass objects (glasses, bottles, etc.);
  • pets.

👶 Young children must wear special swim diapers.

⚠️ Throwing objects into the pool (for example, broken glass bottles) results in a minimum penalty of EUR 500.

👁️ Children must be supervised at all times, regardless of age or swimming ability. Even adults can experience difficulties – swimming accompanied is strongly recommended.

🌞 Helpful Tips

  • Wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
  • Avoid chewing gum while swimming, as it may present a choking hazard.

💡 Terrace lights can be turned on/off using the switch located next to the downstairs bathroom.

🌡️ Heating and air conditioning can be adjusted from the control panel in each room using the on/off button and the desired temperature setting.

  • Large remote (1) turns on the TV;
  • Small remote (2) turns on the receiver and allows channel selection.
